Acceptable Compostable Certifications
- BPI Certified
- TUV (OK compost Home & Industrial)
- CMA
- Din Certco
- Din-Gepruft industrial compostables
- ABA (AS 4736 or AS 5810)
- International Standards ISO 17088, ISO 18606, EN 13432, EN 14995 and AS 4736
Compost Crew does not accept compostable plastics that are not certified by these above brands for the health of our finished product and local soil. American certifications (D6400 and ISO 17088) have yet to incorporate the testing needed to be safe and equivalent to the above testing, thus additional certification via the above brands are required.”
