Our Clear Clamshells are 100% compostable and are made from sustainable and renewable raw materials. Nearly all clear compostable packaging is made from a corn-based resin called "PLA". PLA items look and feel just like the traditional plastic caryout items you're accustomed to. They have a lower heat tolerance than our fiber clamshells and are suggested for cold foods only.
